Office Admin / Accounting Position

We are a major Canadian Pole producer specializing in CCA treated utility poles and agricultural products. We are seeking to hire an Office Admin/Accounting Assistant for our plant in Peers, AB.

The Office Admin/Accounting Assistant is required to perform various tasks including Answering phones, shipping and receiving, assist with AP and AR, coding of invoices, and data entry, reporting and other duties.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering calls and communicating with customers and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
  • General accounting and bookkeeping duties
  • Data Entry
  • Filing – maintain organized files both paper and electronic
  • Assist with Month end processing and reporting
  • Provide support to office staff including the Office Manager, Senior Accountant and CFO as required.



  • Experience in a busy office setting, accounting and data entry.
  • An accounting diploma is considered an asset
  • Proficient user of MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel and Word).
  • Previous experience in Forest industry an asset.
  • Data entry skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
